The Pictures Band March 17, 2022 Hey, Pictures friends, fans, and family! Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Hope everyone is wearing their appropriate green for good luck! Haven’t updated in a bit, so just want to fill y’all in on what’s going on - We’ve had a great month of March so far --- On the 4th, Brian Coyle and Andrea Henery tied the knot out at Mae’s Ridge near Johnson City and it was a night to remember! We’d like to thank the lovely folks at Mae’s Ridge as well as Laura Palomo with Sweet Laurel events for making things so smooth and the night such a charming one! For sure, one of the highlights of the evening was their first dance “How Deep Is Your Love”; a classic Bee Gees tune. The very next night we followed up with a really fun night in Navasota,Tx at the Moore Ranch on the Brazos - Katherine Bornman and Steven Penshorn are the happy couple and Shayley with Uniquely Set Events was the planner and really kept things flowing nicely. Everyone was thrilled by the surprise fireworks display and left exhausted but happy from dancing! Last Saturday we were honored to be playing for the Arnold family for the second time at the reception for their daughter Emily and her new husband, Michael Esparza. We also really appreciated the extraordinary effort of Tiffany Batchelor with Avenue I events - she and her staff went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect for us; THANKS TIFFANY!!!! We were thrilled to have two new extended members of the band join us; Shalane Miller is a wonderful young jazz/pop vocalist who has recently moved to the Austin area from Seattle, WA, and we welcome her to Texas. We would also like to welcome Mr. Ron Knuth, fiddle player extraordinaire, for another event with us. Ron is an amazing player and songwriter who has worked with Willie, Merle, Ray Price and Hank Williams, Jr. among many other legends and we are beyond lucky to have him join us for some upcoming events. Sadly, we are saying goodbye to two of our valued members; Mark Schroth has been our sound engineer for the last 4 years and is going on to run his own culinary venture. Brian “Dex” Sewell has been our keyboardist, tech wizard, lighting advisor and go-to guy for 8 years and has really been a valued member of our group for over 8 years. He goes on to a full-time gig with Nomad lighting/sound and we wish him and Mark the very best. Tons of upcoming events across Texas and beyond for the next several months; we’re working on a showcase gig in Austin for prospective clients as well as friends and family, so stay tuned, we’ll let you know as soon as we have definite dates. Hope everyone is gearing up for a great summer, I know we are! Talk soon - The Pictures Band Austin, Texas
